EMAA Transmitter

Monitoring
Solution can include:
  • Monitoring functions built-in in the EMAA transmitters
  • IP2Choice equipment to handle technical alarms on transmitter sites
  • GoldenEagle monitoring equipment: RF input, ASI input (option)
EMAA transmitters have:
  • SNMP protocols implemented
  • webserver built in
Parameters monitored are:
  • Bit error rate
  • Modulation error rate
  • Carrier/Noise (dB)
  • ASI detection: MP synchro, LP synchro
  • ASI parameters: Unorrected input paquet, MIP , Frame error, MIP modification
  • Amplifier: ROS, output power, amplifier temperature
ASI management
  • Reed Solomon error correction
  • NIT update
  • Bit rate adaptation
  • PCR restamping
  • MIP extraction and processing
  • SFN synchronization
  • Delay management: static delay; automatic delay in SFN; delay for seamless switching in SFN
Modulation
DVB-T and DVB-H modes (16 Qam, 64 Qam, QPSK, ...) are defined according to:
  • FFT size
  • Code rate
  • Guard interval
  • Constellation
  • Hierarchical parameters
  • Inner interleaver
Synchronization and clock:
  • An internal clock is available on the modulator
  • A 10MHz input is also available for more accurate synchro
  • For SFN, an external 1pps and clock have to be made available for the modulator.
  • Linear and non linear precorrection.
